Hammers all set.
The Thurrock Hammers are all set for their next challenge when they face the Mildenhall Fen Tigers, proudly sponsored by Manchetts Rescue and Recovery, at West Row on Sunday.
The Fen Tigers septet, similar to that of the Hammers, contains a blend of experience and youth, with skipper Danny Ayres leading the way backed by Hammers favourite Jason Edwards. 2018 Fen Tiger Ryan Kinsley comes in to strengthen the team, with rider replacement operating for new signing Henry Atkins who has Championship commitments, whilst reserve Charlie Brooks returns from injury.
Gates open at 1.45pm, with the meeting parade starting at 2.45pm and the first race at 3pm, with the main meeting then followed by a 6 heat, junior match between the Mildenhall Tiger Cubs and a Thurrock Junior Hammers team.
Hammers Director Mark Sexton commented:
