Edwards leads the Hammers in Kent Eagles Challenge

The Thurrock AsMATT Hammers are all set to take on The Kent Eagles in a Nora Challenge match at Iwade Speedway this Sunday 7th June (gates 10am – first race Midday).

Jason Edwards returns to spearhead the Hammers, backed by Jordan Jenkins, with Alex Spooner, Mickie Simpson, Ben Whalley and Harrison Rogers completing the team.

The Eagles team line up with Edward Kennett, Hammers favourite Ben Morley, Connor King Jake Mulford, Jack Kingston and Nathan Hargrave.

Hammers Director Mark Sexton commented: “As always, we’re really looking forward to getting the Hammers back on track. As ever, our line up will showcase several Essex based riders as highlighting the county’s talent is an important part of our campaign to return the sport to its traditional home.

We’re extremely grateful to David Graveling, Emily-Jane Humphrey and the Kings’ staff & volunteers for inviting us down to Iwade for this fixture but despite the strength of the home team, we’ll be doing our level best to return back over the river with the Ken-Ex Trophy in hand!

Big thanks are especially due to Dave Francis at AsMatt Ltd for his magnificent and generous support which has allowed us to put together such an attractive and talented team!”
